Social Media Content/Promotion/Communications
Our 6th year of internship opportunities will support GLRFH staff and provide developmental learning within a 501c3 non-profit organization. We offer opportunities to work in coaching, programming, communications, marketing, media & event planning. Our internships vary in length, please review job descriptions for specifics.
You can expect 10-12 week positions with an explanation of term/scope and work requirements in the job description. Final start/end dates will be determined at hiring. Option to extend the internship period to a 6-month or 12-month contract may be offered at the discretion of the managing Director.
Job Description:
This is a 12 week internship – August – November
4-6 hours of paid work per week at $15/hour
Work to be compensated on a monthly basis
Work to be done as Independent Contractor
GLRFH will provide 1099-NEC for tax purposes
GLRFH to provide necessary paperwork
Option to extend the internship period to a 6-month or 12-month contract may be offered at the discretion of the managing Director
Work to include (but not limited to):
Coordinate with comms team on coverage of fall field hockey – all levels
Administrative work to include: updating existing contact lists, creating contact & tag lists, email introductions & outreach through GLRFH email account, creating surveys & forms
Creating content & drafting communications for media outlets
Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Newsletter
Highlights, spotlights, team/player/coach outreach
Misc. project-based work will be assigned within the scope of communications, events & operations
Social Media Expectations
Provide content for 1-3 posts per week specific to regional targets/project work
Help cultivate community and new followers
Help create high school season recaps for each state (October/November)
Additional information
Follow all GLRFH communications, graphics and social media guidelines.
Adhere to all GLRFH media rules and regulations
Report to Communications Director, Jessie Rouleau
(2) hours of uncompensated intern work to include mentorship conversations, strategic understanding of media organization, function, voice, presence & development.
Note: the responsibilities of the intern may deviate from those explicitly stated; the Director may assign projects not included in the above list.
